didn't wanna fully post this on my art tab but here's a fun lil drawing that blends my current and past styles together!

first i drew the classic designs in flipaclip to properly achieve that authentic OG look, original palettes, low fill tolerance and all

(except Willow who didn't have a classic design!)

then, i put them into ibispaintX, and drew the modern designs around them, and i think it came out alright! probably the hardest part was drawing the classic designs on model, which was ironic considering their designs were never truely consistent. i think that's something i've gotten better at over time; drawing my characters' designs consistently, which in turn makes it harder for me to draw in my old style. i dunno, it's a lot of words.

anyhoo, while i'm here, i feel like now is a good time to mention that the ty and friends project alpha update is cooking nicely, i just have one last thing to finish, and then some final polishy bits and we should be good!

while i'm here i feel i should mention stuff is coming, an animation is coming along really nicely and ive got all kinds of art coming too,

but this is about my GAME. ty and friends project alpha

this game was originally just for a school project, and i honestly could have easily just left it to rot

however... i have been making additions and changes, and today, (or tonight, depending on where you are) i present a trailer! this trailer outlines very basically what to expect in this new update.

HEY!! kicking off 2023 with a remastered/remixed/mashup/alternative version of the FNaF song by The Living Tombstone!!

What's new?

Firstly, I reassembled the vocals and the instrumental, because, i don't know, it might sound different? (Also easier to edit alternative vocals and instrumentals)

Second, I've mixed in the music from IGN's TLT Audioclash trailer. (This was an instrumental remix of the FNaF song.)

Next, I threw in the second verse of "This comes from inside" in favour of the second verse of the FNaF song, because this used the same vocal effect as the FNaF song and i felt like it would be fun to throw in.

Lastly, the second chorus also features the instrumental parts of "I got no time" because they have the same notes as the FNaF song chorus.

yo peeps, so, not today but yesterday (29th of september) marked 4 years since i created my small little mark on this site,

ty and friends.

in case you didn't know already, ty and friends is a series of animations about a guy who shares the same name as me and all his funky wacky cartoon friends LOL

but in all seriousness, i don't think it'd be half as fun to make stuff on newgrounds if it weren't for all you cool dudes! if you've ever so much as taken the time to watch my animations or take a look at the stuff they allow me to put in a section that they call "art" (their words, not mine. really.)

i would like to give you a sincere and heartfelt thank you, as just the knowledge that people actually SEE the stuff that i made, is something i don't think i'll ever get tired of, and will never appreciate any less than i already do.

now as for all the people who've guided me in my newgrounds journey, or the awesome people that put some serious effort into giving some really thorough and helpful feedback and encouragement, i would like to actually take my hat off to you guys because, really, it's always been something i love to find in my notifications when i open NG. honestly, feedback is the only way i can learn and having people take the time and share that with me, like,

now that i've gotten the most important part out of the way, that being thank yous,

i'd like to address the fact that i am, empty handed. yeah.

(well not EMPTY handed but, i lack content this year for the annivarsary)

that's right, this year, i don't actually have a big ahh presentation or trailers or actual animations, which is because i wanna save all of that significant stuff for next year which is going to mark the FIFTH year i've been doing this. that, is when you will see some real content.

but, as for now, what can you expect going forward? as much as i don't have much to show right now, i'm workin' on stuff, trying new techniques as always, and personally the most important thing, having fun with what i do.

NEW THING?

at the moment, i'm storyboarding a pretty big animation. it's going to be comparable to that one 10 minute ty and friends "movie" i made, but more comparable to "we back lol" or "subway surfers" (minus the first half) or "daniel's ghostly adventure" in terms of quality.

it's gonna be my largest and most ambitious project yet, which i know is something people say but then it gets cancelled LMAO but i wanna try and say that this will be done, but no deadline because that's the worst thing you can do as an independant animator.

it's obviously going to take a hefty amount of time to finish it, and, i don't really feel confident saying i'll have it done by next year's annivarsary, but, hell, i'm sure it doesn't matter that much. it WILL be done, and that's what matters (:

ITS A GHOST?

yeah maybe i mean i lost the files to the trailer i was gonna make for daniel's ghostly adventure 2 but uh i'm gonna do that at some point i swear lmao

for me to be transparent with yall, i'm gonna have to lay it down simple. i haven't started it yet. it was wayyy down on my priorities list to be honest, but i assure you, much like the other big animation, this will happen at some point. once again, i don't know when, but put it this way you'll see it here one day at random.

nah but i do actually have an update to give there, i'm currently working at a remix of my song "the breaking point of me" along with a remastered version of the animated music video, which, is going to be the first "ty and friends rewinded" since 2020.

but in addition to that, i've also been playing around with some ideas for songs, and as you know music isn't something that should be forced. i've been wanting to be happy and confident with my writing and my instrumentals, so i'm just gonna say, watch that music tab. nothing groundbreaking i just wanna tell you now but hey, who knows, maybe i'll make something cool.

and maybe i'll remember to deafen the click of my mouse when recording... :D

anyway i'd also like to add that i'm thinking about doing a remix of the FNaF song by The Living Tombstone. i've been jotting down ideas for the past week or so and i'm coming closer and closer around to doing that at some point. it's not gonna be your average midi remix, i want this to be like an extensive new version with added things, but still staying true to the energy of the original.

hey hey folks, i'm here to give yall an update on things!

so, completely by accident, i've been a lot less vocal as of late, ya know, not saying much via the news panel and there's no real reason for that, i just haven't really felt a need to! but, saying that, i do feel like it's good to communicate with the people who happen to watch your content so that all the things you see from me aren't just from a one dimensional faceless account on the internet, and rather, a person who wants to make things that make people laugh or smile, and a person who enjoys interacting with folk on the mighty newgrounds.

now, for the update on PROJECTS

as you may have seen, i just dropped a new animation where i animate sonic the hedgehog into real world photography!

i had a lot of fun making that, particularly because it had the element of actually going out and photographing the real world in order to make backrounds.

but anyway, that stuffz already released so it irrelevant now!!

animations from my old tablet:

currently finishing off the last of my projects left over from my old tablet, one, an episode of ty and friends where i introduce two new characters called ava and ARM II. this episode aims to add more information on who the ARM society are, and if you've been following along with my art as of recent, you might've noticed characters whose names include the word ARM. this concept will be elaborated upon in this episode and explained.

and the other episode will introduce two more ARM members, who face off against max.

additionally there's an animation in progress that, like, it's just kind of a mess and completely undermines my current style so, i'm taking into consideration to just, remake it from the ground up, because i tell ya, it is ROUGHHH around the edges.

another thing, non animated, coming soon is an extended version of the big annual mural that i did a little while ago now.

i extended last year's mural, why not do it again. i have quite a list of characters i genuinely forgot to add in the last one tbh, and i really wanna add more because i feel like it obviously needs that.

ADDRESSING THE WEIRD ARTSTYLE CHANGES IN MY RECENT ANIMATIONS

while i'm talking about the whole working on animations from my old tablet thing, i truely apologise if the style blending is a bit jarring. specifically in Subway Surfers, you'll see the style change 3 whole times, and, it looks like a frigging collab. but, no, it's actually all my work, starting from me working on my phone, to working on my first tablet, which broke, to then finishing it on my new tablet and having the whole thing look like a collab between 3 people.

with that- i just wanna say there definitely won't be any more of that after i'm done with the animations left over from my last tablet. from then onwards should be a genuinely consistent artstyle.

(unless i actually do participate in a collab animation LOL)

SUBWAY SURFERS UPDATE??? WHAT??? HOW DO YOU UPDATE AN ANIMATION???

yeah so i was rewatching some of my recent vids of this year, for no particular reason mind you, but anyway, i rewatched subway surfers again and i gotta say, um, sorry! that sound mixing is terrible and i have no-one to blame but myself LOL

i noticed you could barely hear jack in a majority of scenes, sound effects like willow jumping on the plank of wood was far too loud, so, i'm gonna try and fix that up nice and good so that i can look at it and say that i'm proud.

no but for real tho i just haven't really considered touching the game for ages, and that's mostly because i'd done all that i needed to with it, plus, working in construct 3 is a pain in the egg because you have to purchase the software to use more than 50 events in the code in case you were unaware.

but yeah, i had a few ideas with the game tbh, like extending it a bit and adding a plot, and a reason for all those ghost things. but i then realised, that would take a lot of time and effort which i'm more than willing to put in, however,

school is important, yall

Hey all, just looking for answers as to how your thoughts on my animations in 2021 are going!

This year, I'm taking more of a quality over quantity approach. This also coincides with a statement I made a while back regarding the amount of content that I'm making and how the amount may lower a little bit.

Regardless, I'm still making my content, and working hard at it!

I've been putting more effort in lately, I feel like Ty and Friends is something I have lacked creativity with, because recently I have felt like things are fun again, i feel like animating is a hobby I'm enjoying again, because of the more humourous episodes.

Anyway, I just wanna ask the people who watch my content what they think of my more recent content.

1. What do you think of the quality of my animations right now?

2. How can I improve this quality?

(Don't be afraid of being too harsh or critical, I just wanna hear what I can do to get better.)

3. Are you satisfied with the amount of content released so far in the year?

Hi everyone, just letting you know how I'm doing right now.

So, in terms of animations, yes, you can expect to see some this year, but the process may slow down due to a thing called "High School" I also wont be posting as frequently, but hey it alright hm?

Personal Life Status

In terms of school I think I'm doing good, I've learnt how everything works and i feel very welcomed.

In terms of friends I have met so many more and I'm glad because I like having people to talk to.

Overall, I'm doing okay... mostly

But I feel like this year is going to be great, people!

Animations/Content Status

I must admit, a lot of stuff I have been doing lately is a lot of planning and not much working. Say what you want about procrastinating, but I find that planning is a good way to burn some time in a rest period. 

As for projects, there isnt much in development,

I have TYWIND 2020 still in progress and i'm extremely uncomfortable with how late I am with this. I'M SORRY!

Ty and Friends is going to be seeing some good content this year, as I have thought up a bunch of ideas for whats happening next. As for STOM BOYE, that's over, I don't know why you're still here for that.

I have a small amount of episodes in progress and season two is still going ahead, albiet really slowly. I havent touched an animating tablet since new years eve but ive been drawing heaps on paper so no I will not be considered "rusty" 

In other news

I want to try singing this year. I am still working on my voice and it will never be perfected, only improved. I will likely just start off with covers of other songs to get a ball rolling and in the process write some of my own original music (or even sing a song that ive written but havent put into sound.) Anyway, I want to try singing as I think i like my voice and i would love to hear you guys hear it too!

On May 5th earlier this year I posted a teaser for "A Revision of the Past" and now I'm proud to announce the true name of the project, named Ty and Friends: Rewinded. Basically, it's a reanimated version of my select favourite episodes and/or episodes that did well among the public. more news and a proper trailer will come soon. The first episode of the series is High Hopes in 1080p with an entirely new from the ground up animation and a remix of the song that will be shown later.

*It's not the episode just revamped, it's entirely reanimated from the ground up.

*Episodes will come out every September (20th I'm thinking because of Ty and Friends 3rd anniversary (WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN THAT LONG OMG!))
